Thats how it works.

Step 1 Fill the water reservoir with water up to the arrow indicated. Make sure that the water level is not too high, otherwise the orchid's roots will be in the water. The plant does not like that.

Step 2 Press the water wicks into the bottom of the growing pot until the rod is completely submerged. This will usually already be the case.

Step 3 Make sure the water wicks are well submerged. The water wicks allow the plants to supply themselves with water.

Step 4 Check the water level in the water reservoir once a week by removing the reservoir from the tray. If necessary, refill water via the center of the liner.
